Award-winning Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie, has brought smiles to the face of a young ‘trotro’ driver in Kumasi.

Sarkodie who is currently in Kumasi for the launch party of his soon-to-be-released album, No Pressure, showed love to the driver on the streets. In a viral video sighted by fredericknuetei.com on social media, Sarkodie was riding in a Toyota Land Cruiser behind the trotro driver’s car. The trotro had Sarkodie’s photo sticker boldly embossed at the back.

Upon realizing that the driver was his fan, Sarkodie’s car sped to catch up with the trotro. After catching up, Sarkodie was heard uttering a sentence in Twi which translates as: “Boss, it is me that you have pasted on there like that.” Watch the video below:

Thousands of disgruntled Ghanaians have joined the ongoing FixTheCountry protest today, August 4, to demand accountability, good governance, and better living conditions from the ruling government.

The FixTheCountry campaign, which began in May, has garnered massive attention and support since Ghanaian youth took to social media to highlight inadequacies in the country. Although the government responded to the aggrieved youth by outlining initiatives it has implemented, including the Nation Builders’ Corp (NABCO), National Youth Entrepreneurship and Innovation Plan (NEIP) to build the human capital in the country, many still think the government has failed to deliver.

As such, Ghanaian youth are demonstrating today, August 4, to demand better living conditions from the Nana Akufo-Addo-led government. The youth are protesting as the nation marks Founder’s Day today, August 4. YEN.com.gh has sighted videos of the campaigners converging at ‘Obra Spot’ at Kwame Nkrumah Circle to begin the protest. Ghana’s president, Nana Ado Dankwa Akufo Addo has congratulated Ghanaian featherweight boxer, Samuel Takyi for ending the country’s medal drought by winning Bronze at the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games.

The 20-year-old ended Ghana’s 29-year wait for a silverware at the Olympic Games after finishing the competition with a bronze medal. In a post on social media by the President, sighted by fredericknuetei.com, the first gentleman of the state stated how proud he is of the fighter.
