'Top Radio Stations In Ghana Take Money To Promote Works And Promote Negativity For Free' - Filmmaker Yvonne Nelson

Multiple award-winning film producer and actress Yvonne Nelson descends on top radio stations in Ghana for taking cash to promote works of filmmakers, but promote negative news items for free.

It’s unclear what triggered her statement, however, it seems she isn’t pleased with the low media support she’s getting for her new Netflix deals.

She wrote this in a tweet today: “In my country, radio stations (usually the big names) will take money from you to promote your WORKS/WINS and turn around and promote negativity for FREE. Entertainment shows are full of degrading women in the business.”

My collaboration with Beyoncé hasn’t been appreciated enough – Shatta Wale

Reggae/Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale was a guest on TV3’s evening program dubbed, “Showbiz 360” hosted by Giovanni Caleb. 

The show which is dedicated to happenings around the entertainment industry saw Shatta Wale make some shocking revelation about his collaboration with Beyoncé. According to him, he has done a song with Beyoncé but the whole of Ghana is not pushing that agenda and its a problem. 

Shatta Wale believes it happened by the grace of God but Ghanaians have not appreciated him enough but he still feel there is more work for him to do. “We haven’t celebrated the glory enough”, he added.

Former President John Mahama has received the vaccine for Covid-19. 

John Mahama was accompanied by his wife Lordina Mahama on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at the Police Hospital in Accra. After receiving the vaccine, Mr. Mahama allayed the fear of Ghanaians with an assurance that the vaccines are safe. 

He also noted that Ghanaians must therefore disregard all the rumors about the vaccine and get vaccinated. He tweeted below:
