The Underrated Ghanaian Artistes: The Story Of Dancehall Artiste Kamelyeon

Ghana’s finest reggae dancehall artiste, known in showbiz circles as Kamelyeon, is quite underrated in the music industry. 

The talented musician in recent times have been making some headlines but not to the point were the media and bloggers will be writing about him. His carefully arrangement of lyrics and ability to produce excellent content made him get some great features from the likes of Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Mr Green among others. The musician has also being on huge platforms like; MTN Pulse Turn Up, S Concert, Ghana DJ Awards, Bass Awards, Bhim Concert, Ashiaman To The World and more.

The industry should look in the direction of this act because, he is a real talent.

According to the artist, his stage name stemmed out from his ability to adapt to any music genre as the opportunity may arise. Prophet Nigel Gaisie, Leader of Prophetic Hill Chapel says he regretted that he did not stand in for late Ebony Reigns.

According to him in an exclusive interview on Zylofon FM with Blakk Rasta, the man of God said he is a son of God, and God has given him a unique grace that he sees about the past, present and future. “I don’t know that lady from Adam, the lord inspired me to say that there is a young lady called Ebony, she is going to kick the bucket just like Suzzy Williams died. 

She is going to die with Keekyire Kwame Appiah. I was on Number 1 FM. When l said it, Keekyire Kwame Appiah was on a trek in Akyem. That very evening he came and saw my administrator and they brought him to me. When they brought him to me l did not even pray for him, l told that, for the respect and honor he has shown to God by coming, he should should wear one of my half shoes and go, l have cancelled it”, he said.

He also stated that, for Ebony he did not even know she was that big and he regret that he did not stand in for her. He also asked for forgiveness from her family because he felt he could have interceded in to avert it. Please listen to him in the video below.

Music group Asaase Aban, have opened up on how they got the name.

In a recent interview with Andy Dosty on the Daybreak Hitz, the group had this to say; “Is because we are both from Kwahu. So one day, somewhere early 2003, we were in one of our good friend’s room Tinny, and he was advising us. He was like the name “RST” is some way so we should get some local name, so we started bring up so many names.

We were like, we represent Kwahu, Asaase Aban and Tinny was yes”, they said. They also used the opportunity to thank Hammer for helping them with the name Asaase Aban.
