SOA: Kuami Eugene Explains Idea Behind “Beifour” Song And Why He Featured Sarkodie. See Reason

Musician Kuami Eugene launched his Son Of Africa album yesterday on Hitz FM.

Now, Kuami Eugene spoke about his new album and also gave the inspiration behind the song “Marry Me”. “Son Of Africa is exceptional because this is not like the Rock Star album. It’s a actually a song for our women out there, there are more boys out there who when it’s time to tell the lady, will you marry me, it becomes very difficult.

And as musicians, it’s our job to tell people to communicate. It is part of our job to help people to be able to communicate. When l say God should speak for me, am not saying it only for myself. In this same way, am giving some of our men out there the opportunity to go and sing these words out there to the women”.

Now “Beifour” is also a single off the album which features rapper Sarkodie. He also detailed the story behind that song. “Because l spoke “twi” throughout, that is why me l have been about this whole highlife thing. Because if l really want to express myself, l can speak good English but l don’t want to do it in English. If l speak in “twi”, it makes me say everything to the depths of it, what exactly l want to say. Sarkodie understands “twi”.

You know, to be a celebrity in this country is very difficult. Sometimes people will DM you and if you don’t reply, they will say, when you text him, he doesn’t reply. The very moment you will reply with and love emoji, they will screenshot it and post it on Snapchat and write, look at him, wicked boy.

I think it’s not cool, that’s why in the verse l said, ‘they want to end me before my time’, because l wish some people from other places should be doing that to us, it shouldn’t be our people. I went on BBC and the first question they asked, We welcome Kuami Eugene all the way from Ghana is here in the building. So Kuami, we went on the internet to check on you to get questions to ask you.

And from like 1-10, every question about you is from your country but they are all bad news. Is like you people don’t do anything good in your country and l was sad, not only me but it happens to every big act in this country”.

Wendy Shay is in the news again, and this time, her lawyers have been able to bring back her “Pray for the World” music video back on YouTube.

The song “Pray for the World” was Wendy’s first single in the year 2021 and YouTube  pulled it down for copyright similarities with popular hit song from South Africa “Jerusalema”. We remember Wendy was very upset about the issue and promised her fans that her lawyer will deal with YouTube.

Today the issue has been solved and the video is back on YouTube. “SHAYGANG we won ..yes we move ! SG ur Queen never stole any song oo …Pray for the world is back on YouTube and all digital platforms,” she shared on Instagram. See her post below:
