Singers are dominating because fellow rappers are not united – Don Itchi fumes (Video)

Rapper Don Itchi sat in as a guest for the new episode of Kobby Kyei news live. The name Don Itchi even though not a mainstream artist is a well-known name in the Ghanaian rap game.

In this edition, Don Itchi revealed to Kobby Kyei that he began to have a passion for music when a challenge from his teacher helped him to discovered his creative skills in primary 6. As a result, he decided to put in much seriousness in the music & dance subject.

Furthermore, Don Ichi talked about his time under the tutelage of renowned music producer Appietus; the ups, the downs, opportunities, and the knowledge acquired throughout the period.

When Kobby Kyei quizzed about why his journey to the mainstream has delayed, Itchy confessed that his level of spirituality needed an upgrade. He explained that he has learned a lot and gathered some level of experience but his spirituality. “….right now I believe I have to work on my level of spirituality. I need to get closer to God than I am at the moment..”

Don Itchi in his response to a question on the ‘state of rap music’ and why singers in the country are dominating and flying higher than rappers, he emphatically blamed disunity. Don further explained that the competitive nature of the rap game makes every rapper feel bossy hence the disunity. Unlike singers, it is rare to see rappers feature each other on songs. He accused rappers Teephlow and Lyrical Joe(LJ) for giving him numerous excuses when he invited them for a feature.

“Shatta Wale changed my life to become who I am today” – DJ Vyrusky

Award-winning Disk Jockey DJ Vyrusky says Shatta Wale changed his life to become who he is today. 

According to him, when he came to Lynx Entertainment he was basically doing business administration because of his background but he told them he can do music so they did a drink up and he did his thing. Richie and his guys loved it so they pushed him. 

Speaking in an exclusive interview on TV Africa, DJ Vyrusky said he then came to Shatta Wale and he pushed his career to another level. He disclosed that Shatta Wale used to play a lot of shows and he was like “my guy play for me”.

“To men of God who are spewing hate at our queer brothers and sisters. How do you read your bibles again?” – Kwabena Kwabena

Ghanaian high-life musician and guitarist, Kwabena Kwabena has added his voice to the ongoing LGBT debate on social media. 

In a post shared by the musician on his instagram page, “Tokro” hitmaker questioned why why men of God hate our queer brothers and sisters and how they read their bibles. 

According to him, God is love so men of God must also love and respect our queer brothers and sisters. He also quoted a bible verses to cushion his stand. “To the men of God who are spewing hate at our queer brothers and sisters. How do you read your bibles again? I’m very saddened especially realizing how much hate we have haboured in our hearts. It’s scary. Decided to remind the clergy and any man of God of their duty as stated in the Bible. Ephesians chapter 4. God is Love so anything that incites hate is not from God”, he said.
