‘I dropped out of Nottingham University in my second year’ – Sista Afia

Francisca Gawugah is a Ghanaian-born afrobeats artiste who disclose that she dropped out of Nottingham University in the UK in her second year.

According to the ‘Corner Corner’ hitmaker, she was unable to complete her tertiary education because she had issues in the UK which forced her to drop out of school.

In an interview on 3FM’s Drive with Giovanni Caleb whiles speaking about her educational background.

” I went to Rev. John Teye Memorial School then Angel Complex and I also went to Afia Kobi Ampem Senior High School, I was also at High Barnett College in London the Nottingham University,”

“But I didn’t finish school. I just did two years and I was supposed to complete at third year but l was having some difficulties back in London and l had to come back.”

Sista Afia however indicates she has plans of returning to London to complete her education.

“Shatta Wale changed my life to become who I am today” – DJ Vyrusky

Award-winning Disk Jockey DJ Vyrusky says Shatta Wale changed his life to become who he is today. 

According to him, when he came to Lynx Entertainment he was basically doing business administration because of his background but he told them he can do music so they did a drink up and he did his thing. Richie and his guys loved it so they pushed him. 

Speaking in an exclusive interview on TV Africa, DJ Vyrusky said he then came to Shatta Wale and he pushed his career to another level. He disclosed that Shatta Wale used to play a lot of shows and he was like “my guy play for me”. 

“In terms of who l am today and his advise is Shatta Wale”, he said. Please watch the video below:

“To men of God who are spewing hate at our queer brothers and sisters. How do you read your bibles again?” – Kwabena Kwabena

Ghanaian high-life musician and guitarist, Kwabena Kwabena has added his voice to the ongoing LGBT debate on social media. 

In a post shared by the musician on his instagram page, “Tokro” hitmaker questioned why why men of God hate our queer brothers and sisters and how they read their bibles. 

According to him, God is love so men of God must also love and respect our queer brothers and sisters. He also quoted a bible verses to cushion his stand. “To the men of God who are spewing hate at our queer brothers and sisters. How do you read your bibles again? I’m very saddened especially realizing how much hate we have haboured in our hearts. It’s scary. Decided to remind the clergy and any man of God of their duty as stated in the Bible. Ephesians chapter 4. God is Love so anything that incites hate is not from God”, he said.
