Ghanaians Don’t Appreciate Their Own - KillBeatz

Award-winning music producer, Joseph Kwame Addison, popularly known as KillBeatz, has detailed one problem he has with the Ghanaian music industry. 

Speaking in an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, the member of music group, R2Bees and CEO of Legacy Life Entertainment, mentioned that lack of appreciation with artiste who have gone international with their music worries him a lot. He told Andy Dosty that, his artiste KingPromise, would have fallen victim to trolls from industry people if he had not been by his side to guide him.

“We don’t want our musicians to go outside, even those going outside, they don’t even appreciate them. Trust me, real talk, they don’t really appreciate the people out there. KingPromise is the only artiste who have sold out outside and no one has done it before, you can go and check. Checkout his streams and other stuffs, people don’t appreciate.

If am not by his side, he will be disappointed then dead”. However, he told KingPromise not to listen to them because he does not understand.

Filmmaker Leila Djansi shares ways colleague filmmakers can improve on production

Days ago we brought you news about the Ghana Oscar Committee justifying its decision not to submit any Ghanaian movie for the 93rd Academy Awards. 

A member of the 14 member committee, Leila Djansi stated that all four films submitted had issues with copyright issues infringement, blatant lack of adherence to rules, no research and others. 

She also suggested ways they can improve on filmmaking, especially in Ghana.

Gospel music is not for everyone – radio personality OB Nartey

Radio personality, OB Nartey says gospel music is not cut for every individual. 

He said this in reaction to recent talks about gospel musician Celestine Donkor’s collaboration with singer Efya and Akwaboah. In an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, OB insisted that in order for an individual to do gospel music, he or she has to go through a process and he outlines this process. 

However, host of “This is Gospel” on Hitz FM, Franky5 insist that doing collaborations with circular artiste should be encouraged. He is of the opinion that is one way to win souls for Christ. Please listen to them in the interview below:
