Ghanaian Artistes Share Their Experiences On The Year Of Return. See What They Are Saying

The year of return was last year and we saw celebrities from America and other places come to Ghana to celebrate with us.

Well, we had the opportunity to listen to some of our celebrities on what they think about the Year of Return. The likes of Trigmatic, Gloria Sarfo and Bill Asamoah shared their opinions. According to Bill Asamoah, “it was slender and we had everything we envisioned for. The people from the diaspora coming down, interactions, revenue generation and all that. We on the part of the actors, getting to meet one or two celebrities, stars from the diaspora was great.

The likes of Borris Cudjoe who came down to have interactions with some of us, to inspire us to do more and much better than we are doing now. And opportunities that were created, having to meet some of them and networking, a lot was achieved and it was marvelous”. Trigmatic also had this to say, “l saw opportunity and a space of great collaboration and am glad that we are continuing that, because it was a good year for us as Ghanaians.

The highlight was on Ghana and Africa as a continent. Ghana became the center stage of that, it goes a long way to say that, truly we are the gateway to Africa. If we are able to commercialize and capitalize on this we would be able to make some good income from the Year of Return, because in everything we look at commercializing it so its really important. To him, its a good thing and continuing it to the Beyond the Return is a great initiative.

Gloria Sarfo also said, “the Year of Return was amazing, it was like a record setting king of feeling for the whole African continent, especially Ghana. It was awesome and very beneficial, it was good for us”.

Wendy Shay is in the news again, and this time, her lawyers have been able to bring back her “Pray for the World” music video back on YouTube.

The song “Pray for the World” was Wendy’s first single in the year 2021 and YouTube  pulled it down for copyright similarities with popular hit song from South Africa “Jerusalema”. We remember Wendy was very upset about the issue and promised her fans that her lawyer will deal with YouTube.

Today the issue has been solved and the video is back on YouTube. “SHAYGANG we won ..yes we move ! SG ur Queen never stole any song oo …Pray for the world is back on YouTube and all digital platforms,” she shared on Instagram. See her post below:
