Fuse ODG Sets ‘Jesus Christ’ Ablaze

According to the musician, the image which is widely portrayed as Christ is a seed planted by our oppressors to lead us astray and contribute to our problems in Africa.

Awarding-winning UK-based Ghanaian Afropop star Fuse ODG has dominated the trends today for a video he posted on his social media pages. In the said video which has since received mixed reactions, the Antenna hitmaker was seen burning a painting which is popularly regarded by many Christian believers as Jesus Christ.

However, before setting the painting ablaze, Fuse explained the reasons for his actions. According to the musician, the image which is widely portrayed as Christ is a seed planted by our oppressors to lead us astray and contribute to our problems in Africa.

In describing the painting he said, “As Africans, It is time to take our faith into our own hands; We have the responsibility to deal with our truth… This picture is the seed that gave birth to Hitler and his doctrines, the seed that gave birth to the apartheid in South Africa, the Rwandan genocide and the cause of people bleaching themselves across the globe and so on.”

Fuse further lamented that the image and its representation are false and not biblical. He elaborated that worshipping the image is idolism which is against the commandment laid down by the Almighty God. He, therefore, urged all churches in Africa with these types of images and paintings to remove them and burn them.
