After the well planned and much awaited “Faith Concert” organized by Shatta Movement boss, Shatta Wale, and his team, the concert became a success last night, as the African dancehall king mounted the stage and gave an an extra-ordinary live band performance, as many were left in awe.

The show streamed for an hour and half, and has had over 111k views, with 13,530 people glued to their phones and pc’s streaming the live concert across the globe.

Before the show began, artistes and some celebrities like Criss Waddle, Medikal, Jupiter, Bridget Otoo, Nana Aba Anamoah, Yvonne Nelson and others all endorsed the show.

Many were those who argued that since there would be no phyiscal audience present at the venue, the concert might end up being boring, but as he always prove people wrong, his energy level and the fun that comes with his concerts were no different from his previous concerts.

“This initiative or idea came  to mind when the President announced a two-week lockdown. I just had to put something together to still entertain my fans while they are home bound”, Shatta Wale explained in an interview with Arnold.

However, the faith concert was not just to entertain people, as the musician used the platform to also educate viewers on the “appropriate” way of washing their hands to stay safe.

A health practitioner was invited at some point to give a brief comment on covid-19, and how staying home is important.

Shatta Wale demonstrated the washing of hands on stage, as part of the whole faith concert package.

The virtual concert lasted for less than 2 hours, but some fans were fulfilled, while others begged for more, as the concert is the first of its kind in the whole of Africa, if not the world.

Faith concert has indeed lifted the faith of some Ghanaians in this hard times.
