Eno Barony Crowned “Best Female Rap Act” At AFRIMMA 2020

Rapper Eno Barony has been crowned the Best Female Rap Act at the African Music Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA).

The seventh edition of the annual African Music Magazine Awards and music festival took place virtually over the weekend. Out of twenty-five nominations for Ghana, Eno is the only artiste who took home an award. The self-acclaimed Rap Goddess beat nine contenders across the continent to win the award.

These include Nakai (South Africa), Moonya (Senegal), Rosa Ree (Tanzania), Bombshell Grenade (Zambia), Muthoni Drummer Queen (Kenya), Askia (Cameroon), Candy Bleakz (Nigeria), Keko (Uganda) and Rouge from South Africa.

Taking to twitter to share the news, Eno Barony that rapper expresses appreciation for the award and dedicated it to Ghana. Congratulations Eno!

Choirmaster reveals how President Akufo-Addo used and dumped music group Praye after election 2020

Member of Praye music group, Eugene Baah, popularly known as Praye Honeho, and Choirmaster, has revealed how President Akufo-Addo and the NPP used and dumped the group.

According to him, the group did not receive any reward from the ruling government and the NPP contrary to the agreement reached and promises made. He added that if the president could not fix the common music group, then he certainly cannot fix the country. 

He was proud of himself for not being part of his colleagues who were used and dumped. Post below;

I can win the Grammys if I get more support – Kuami Eugene

Highlife singer, Kuami Eugene says he can win the Grammys if Ghanaians support him more.

The ‘Open Gate’ hitmaker opined that previous winners of music’s biggest award aren’t any better than him. Speaking in an interview with Giovani Caleb on TV3 he added this: “This support, if it keeps coming likes this, chale, we go fi take the Grammy some. Whoever take the Grammy. Whoever take am be human being,” 

“As we dey here, if we keep supporting like this, and I love the way Ghanaians are supporting. Make we do more. And we can go.” Watch the video below:
