Reports reaching fredericknuetei.com indicates that the Minority in parliament, National Democratic Congress (NDC) have clashed with police at the headquarters of the Electoral Commission (EC) here in Accra.

This incident is said to have happened on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 when the legislators led by the Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu were blocked by police from petitioning the chairperson of the commission, Mrs Jean Mensah.

The MP’s managed to force their way through the barricade in defiance leading to a serious brawl. Speaking to Starr News, Mr. Iddrisu said he doesn’t know why the media has lost interest in their demand for the re-collation of the results for the Techiman South parliamentary contest.

“We demanding justice, when you say go to court I must have something to walk and I must have the results to work with to court, this is the greatest threat to the sustenance of our multiparty democracy. All we are asking for is respect for the electoral laws of Ghana,” he stated. Please watch the video here:

The new administrative building is aimed at hosting Head of State Award Scheme. Speaking at the sod-cutting ceremony in Accra, the President explained that since its inception in 1957, the Head of State Award Scheme has challenged and touched the lives of many young Ghanaians, with some 750,000 young people participating and benefitting from the Scheme.

“I have always been excited about the work being done by the Award Scheme, and that is why I continue to urge them to ensure that as many young Ghanaians as possible benefit from it.
