Ghanaian artiste, Black Sherif, has ended his contract with his ex-financier, Shadrach Agyei Owusu.

In a letter sighted by pulse.com.gh, and dated April 8, 2022, lawyers of the fast-rising artiste informed Shadrach, who is also known as Snap, about Black Sherif’s decision to terminate the contract he signed with him last year.

“We have our Client’s instructions to confirm our Client’s acceptance of the termination of the Agreement following discussions between you and our Client.”

According to the letter, Black Sherif appointed Snap as his manager on August 18, 2021. His lawyers wrote that he is “no longer bound by the Agreement” he signed with Snap.

This comes after news broke that Snap had sued the artiste at an Accra High Court on April 11, 2022.

In the suit filed by Snap, he alleged that Black Sherif had deserted him to sign a distribution deal with EMPIRE Distribution, Records and Publishing Inc., an American distribution company and record label without his consent.

Snap wants the court to prevent Black Sherif from performing at events that he has not given consent to. In addition, he has requested the court to order all funds accrued from the artiste’s online streams to be preserved.

Shadrach also wants a receiver to be taking the proceeds of all funds that will be accrued from any activity that Black Sherif engages in.

It is expected that the court will hear the case on Monday, May 9, 2022 as Black Sherif and his lawyers are yet to file a response to the suit. They have 18 days to do that.

Reacting to the case against the artiste, the CEO of 3Music Networks, Sadiq Abubakar Abdulai, indicated that he is doubtful the court will grant the reliefs that prevents Black Sherif from performing at events.

“The artiste’s way of life is continuous recording and to perform, so it would become a human rights issue if any court would stop him from living his way of life, which would be to record and perform,” he pointed out.

, Majid Michel confesses to stealing Taxi driver’s money to pay him, Frederick Nuetei

Majid Michel has opened up on stealing from Taxi Drivers during his difficult times.

The Ghanaian actor, who is also now an evangelist, engaged in the thievery because he was broke. He disclosed this during Angel FM’s 30/30 segment show hosted by Okyeame Quophi.

Detailing the incident Majid Michel said “I used to take taxis, the trotro taxi type not the taxi that drops you. So when I sit in the taxi, I will take the money [from the gear area where drivers leave their coins] and then put it in my pocket”.

As for what happens after successfully stealing the money, he said “then when we reach the destination, I will pay him with his own money because I didn’t have money”.

This wouldn’t be the first time the actor has disclosed that at a point in life he was truant. Earlier this year, Majid revealed that he once engaged in drugs.

I used to go out to drink, go and booze, we go and smoke, get into fights on the streets. So I did some drugs; we tried something to see how it goes,” he told Fiifi Forson, the host of the Sunday show.

Speaking about how addiction to alcohol and drugs nearly wrecked, he advised that “friends are critical. If you are a young guy, be careful in choosing them because your friends are very critical in your life.”

Majid Michel over the past few years has been preaching the Gospel which came as a surprise to most of his followers. However, he notes that “I’ve always known God all my life. There was no turning point. Since I remember being aware in life, I have known God“.

The revelation, however, landed Majid in trouble with the Ghana Narcotics Control Board. During an interview in April on Okay FM, he said “I had an over 1-hour interview after said I had done drugs and that I didn’t see anything wrong it”.

“I said I see nothing wrong with it because it is a plant and God created the plant. So, I didn’t see anything wrong with weed. Abeiku Santana guess what happened? That’s why I think we shouldn’t joke with the laws in Ghana. On Monday morning at 8 AM, they picked me up from house for that statement.”
