Barclays announces Manifest as brand ambassador as it rebrands to Absa #JourneytoAbsa

M.anifest is a Ghanaian rapper, singer and songwriter. He won Best Rapper and Hip-Hop song of the year at the 2017 Ghana Music Awards. He has worked with Damon Albarn, Flea, Tony Allen, Erykah Badu, and is featured on five songs on the Rocket Juice and The Moon album.

Barclays Bank Ghana, has unveiled the internationally acclaimed and award-winning Hip-Hop artiste, M.anifest as their brand ambassador. This comes ahead of its rebranding to Absa Bank Ghana Limited on Monday 10 February 2020.

The rebranding goes live on Monday, February 10th 2020.

“As a forward-looking bank deeply rooted in Africa with global connectivity and a passion for excellence, we are excited to be associated with M.anifest, who exhibits and exudes similar characteristics and passion.” Ms Nana Essilfuah Boison, Marketing and Corporate Relations Director at Barclays Bank Ghana said of their new signing.

“As we become Absa, we are not only building on our 100-year heritage in Ghana, we are also one of Africa’s top three largest banks, backed by a large capital base and strong balance sheet with a commitment to connect people’s dreams with financial opportunities,” she added.

On his part, M.anifest noted that “It’s an absolute thrill to be brand ambassador for Absa, a forward-looking bank with a global scale. My career has led me on a path of upholding global standards of excellence whiles maintaining local relevance.  I believe Absa represents this on a higher scale in banking, thus the synergy is seamless. I’m looking forward to this new chapter in which together we bring more value and unique solutions to individual Ghanaians and Ghanaian businesses.”

Meet 65-Year-Old Ivy Abban Who Is A Full Campaigner For 4MoreForNana And Free SHS

Ivy Abban, a 65-year-old worker of Zoomlion has emerged to become inarguably the best campaigner in Ghana for 4MoreForNana agenda. 

In a video sighted by fredericknuetei.com on the official YouTube channel of Nuetei TV, Ivy Abban narrates how she became famous within the space of 4 years of campaigning for President Nana Akufo-Addo. According to her, she started campaigning for Nana since 2016.

“One day, l came back from work and l saw some two brothers holding a microphone to preach the word of God. I then told them to give it to me to also campaign for Nana. They gave it to me and l started campaigning for him”, she said. However, she is also in support of the free SHS that President Nana Akufo-Addo initiated.

Despite the fact that she is old enough to go to school, she was dressed up in a school uniform ready to go to school. For her, she has not gotten anything out of what she is doing for the NPP government but she used her Gh50 to sew her school uniform to go to school. Her message to Ghanaians is to vote 4MoreForNana.

In his interview with Halifax on Okay FM, he said he is a young guy and as an artiste you have to be in shape so he decided to do this. “It was my personal decision”, he said. To him back in the days, he was leaving some kind of lifestyle ie is due to the nature of their work, he eats late in the night.
