Bantama jams to Kofi Jamar’s ‘Ekorso’ after Nana Akufo-Addo was declared winner of the 2020 presidential election; video drops

Social media has been buzzing with videos and comments after the announcement of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as the winner of the 2020 presidential election.

Announcing by the chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Jean Mensa on December 9 declared the New Patriotic Party’s candidate as the winner of the 2020 general elections. In viral video online, Bantama which happens to be the strong hold of the party went buzzing as they jam to Kofi Jamar’s “Ekorso” which features Yaw Tog and Ypee.

Hip-pop Grandpapa, Reggie Rockstone and Broadcast Journalist, Serwaa Amihere have clashed on Twitter following the news of Akuapem Poloo’s sentencing.

In social media banter, the two were seen arguing about the trending issue as Serwaa Amihere expressed why some people are still begging on Akuapem Poloo’s behalf after she pleaded guilty to the charges leveled against her.

Serwaa Amihere wrote on Twitter; “A person is convicted on her OWN PLEA, this means that the person accepts that he or she is wrong. The natural consequence of pleading guilty on your own volition means that you are ready to be punished. How are we asking for this person to be freed….”

Akuapem Poloo sentenced to 90 days imprisonment

Ghanaian actress, Rosemond Alade Brown popularly known as Akuapem Poloo has been slapped with a 90-day jail sentence after being guilty of nude photo with son.

The judgement was given on Friday, April 16 by an Accra Circuit Court. The single mother pleaded guilty to all three counts, one of which is publication of obscene material in 2020.

According to the prosecution, on June 30 2020, Rosemond celebrated her son’s seventh birthday by taking nude pictures together with her son who was also half-naked. She posted the pictures on her Instagram page which went viral on social media.
